Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the dynamic characteristics of photoplethysmography (PPG) signals on the accuracy of identity recognition systems, and to propose a new identity authentication method to fill the gap in the study of dynamic characteristics of pulse wave signals in this field. By analyzing the nonlinear chaotic characteristics of the pulse wave signal, the equivalent topological space of the dynamic system is reconstructed, and the modeling, prediction and identity authentication framework of the pulse wave signal are constructed by combining the phase space reconstruction technology and the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model. In this study, the identity authentication based on PPG signal is successfully realized, the collected data and public datasets are analyzed, and the performance and generalization ability of the proposed method are evaluated, and the results show that the proposed method is better than the existing methods in terms of identity recognition accuracy. Finally, this study proves the importance of the kinetic features of PPG signals in identity recognition, and demonstrates the effectiveness of combining phase space reconstruction and LSTM models, and further explores the application potential of remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) as a biometric feature.
