Optimization of flexible Job-Shop scheduling considering time and energy constraints

Abstract

With the increasing energy prices and the national measures for energy conservation and emission reduction, the manufacturing industry is transforming towards green production. For the flexible Job-Shop scheduling problem constrained by adjustment time and energy consumption, this paper established a mathematical model with the objectives of maximum completion time, total adjustment time and total energy consumption. It designed a multi-objective hybrid algorithm(MOGATS) combining improved NSGA-Ⅱ with tabu search to solve the problem. It designed three initialization rules to ensure the quality and diversity of the initial solution. It introduced the Pareto rank into the crossover operator to improve the search effect of the algorithm and added the simulated annealing algorithm to the mutation operator to enhance the local search ability of the algorithm. Finally, it found the optimal individual of each objective as the initial solution in the Pareto frontier, and performed tabu search to improve the quality of the solution. By comparing the experimental results with other algorithms, it verifies that the MOGATS algorithm can effectively solve the multi-objective problem of flexible Job-Shop considering machine adjustment.
