Approximate consistency method for constructing behavior subsets based on log clustering

Abstract

According to the behavior subset, it is able to obtain the approximate consistency between the event log and the process model. However, it obtains small behavior difference between the log candidate traces through the existing methods, which causes some influence on the representativeness of the behavior subset, thus leading to the low accuracy of the approximate consistency. In view of this problem, this paper proposed an approximate consistency method using clustering technology to preprocess event logs for the construction of behavior subsets. Firstly, it clustered the traces with high behavioral similarity in the event log into several sub-logs according to the Levenshtein editing distance between traces. Then, it traversed each sub log, which selected the representative traces in the sub logs by using the methods of high frequency in the cluster and cluster center to form a set of candidate traces. Furthermore, it took advantage of the optimal alignment technique to construct the behavior subset of the model, which calculated the degree of fit with the complete event log to get the approximate consistency and its upper and lower bounds. Finally, it carried out the simulation experiment of real event log, which verified the superio-rity of this method from two aspects of accuracy and time efficiency.
