Task-aware mechanism for pedestrian attribute recognition

Abstract

In order to improve the recognition ability of pedestrian attribute recognition based on deep learning, this paper proposed a pedestrian attribute recognition network model based on task-aware mechanism. Considering the strong semantic correlation between different pedestrian attributes, it proposed a task-aware mechanism to fully mine the correlation between attributes in different tasks. Aiming at the imbalance of pedestrian attribute samples, it used the weighted loss strategy to reduce the impact of imbalance. The experimental results on three existing pedestrian attribute datasets PETA, PA100k and RAP show that the proposed method has strong competitiveness.
