Geometry-based stochastic model for three-dimensional UAV channel

Abstract

This paper proposed a model for MIMO UAV channel. This model combined two-dimensional single-loop and three-dimensional hemisphere. Based on the proposed channel model, this paper derived the space time correlation function, Doppler power spectrum and second-order statistical characteristics. It analysed the influence of different parameters. The proposed model was compared with the single-ball model and the measurement values respectively. The results show that the Rice factor and the velocity of moving scatterer have a significant effect on channel characteristics. The time correlation function of the proposed model is about 20% higher than that of the single-ball model. And the accuracy of the model is verified by the good fit with the measurements.
