Research on transmission characteristic of dynamic human channel based on HBC band

Abstract

Existing models of human body surface communication channels only consider the single frequency or UWB(ultra wide band) frequency band, and the research objects are static human body model. This paper established 35 human body models in continuous postures based on FDTD(finite difference time domain) method and analyzed the transmission characteristics of dynamic HBC(human body communication) channel. It confirmed that path loss was directly proportional to the communication distance. This paper analyzed the multipath effect of dynamic human body channel by using the modified S-V model, and verified this model. Finally, this paper determined that the cumulative probability density of the average power gain conformed to the lognormal distribution according to the second-order information criterion. By comparing this result with that of UWB band, body motions in HBC frequency band had less influence on body communication transmission characteristics. Therefore, the HBC frequency band is more suitable to body surface communication.
