Research on cost optimization of large-scale MIMO system in FDD

Abstract

For the problem of excessive pilot overhead and feedback overhead in channel information acquisition, this paper studied the cost optimization of FDD massive MIMO system. Based on the diversity of large-scale parameters in the channel angle domain, it introduced a clustered multipath channel model, and jumped out the traditional framework. It designed an angle domain cost optimization scheme. In this solution, by pre-designing the pre-coded precoding code and user strength feedback, it established the topological relationship of the angle domain on the base station side, and performed the overall user scheduling and precoding codebook allocation. Through the codebook matching in the angle domain, it effectively reduced the system overhead, and improved the system performance. In a typical simulation scenario, it reduces the overhead by an average of 60% compared to the traditional solution, and increases the system and rate by an average of 35%.
