Research on description method of system fault evolution process

Abstract

In order to understand the evolution process of the system fault, and to provide a feasible description method, this paper further studied the theory of space fault network. The original space fault network structure W=(V, L, R, H, B) was changed to W=(O, S, L, X), the four element object, state, connection and factor were used to describe the fault evolution process and construct the space fault network. It proposed the enumeration method and the example method to describe the fault evolution process, and studied the first stage fault process of the three stage reciprocating compressor, it identified the object, the state of the object and the logical relation of the event, and drew the space fault network. Taking V10 and V2 as examples, it obtained the transformed space fault trees, and took V2 as an example to study the fault evolution process further. It obtained 127 kinds of fault modes, 64 of which were favorable for V2 occurrence, and the remaining 63 were not conducive to occurrence. According to the need of description of evolution process, it classified the fault evolution processes further. Finally, it discussed the mechanism of fault evolution, and pointed out the shortcomings of the research.
